The Odisha Government has roped in the Worldwide Crops Analysis Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT) to support tribals take care of pure resources very well.
The Condition Government has signed an agreement with the Hyderabad-centered ICRISAT to take up ability developing initiatives for the state’s ‘Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups’ dependent on agriculture.

The collaboration is a element of Odisha’s Specially Vulnerable Tribal Groups Empowerment and Livelihoods Advancement Programme (OPELIP), funded by the United Nation’s Worldwide Fund for Agricultural Enhancement (IFAD).
The ICRISAT will support the communities build rainwater harvesting constructions and set up gauging stations to history rainfall, run-off and other hydrological parameters in 4 districts exactly where jhum or ‘shifting cultivation’ are practised.
