Ford and Samsung consider Britain for electric battery gigafactories

Some of the world’s largest carmakers and technological innovation businesses are mulling programs to construct battery “gigafactories” in the Uk amid government overtures to the sector.

Six companies, which includes carmakers Ford and Nissan and South Korean electronics giants LG and Samsung, are in conversations with the Govt more than places for battery factories in Britain, the Economic Times documented.

Also among the the interested companies are start out-ups BritishVolt, which publicly unveiled its desire very last year, and Slovakia’s InoBat.
