President’s rule imposed in Puducherry after Congress govt loses trust vote

The president also suspended the operation of various provisions of the Federal government of Union Territories Act, 1963 (twenty of 1963), as a result imposing central rule in Puducherry.

The notification also said the Legislative Assembly of the Union Territory is put beneath suspended animation.

V Narayanasamy, who led the Congress govt in Puducherry, resigned on Monday ahead of the self confidence vote following his govt was diminished to a minority pursuing a spate of resignations by his bash MLAs and a DMK legislator in new days.
