Russia Approves Flu Drug’s Use Against Covid-19

Russia’s Ministry of Health on Saturday approved a flu drug for use in combating coronavirus just after officials reported preliminary testing confirmed hospitalized people who took the drugs recovered much more rapidly.

The drug, identified as favipiravir, had made promising final results from coronavirus in early testing in Russia. Its approval tends to make it amongst the initial in a world race to obtain successful treatment options and finally a vaccine for the virus.
